The last weeks I spent some time at redefining my website. The last year I learned a lot about WordPress and the different components and my personal experience with the blog posts pages was that they were sometimes hard to read, and looked very similar.
To make reading my blogs and guides as easy as possible for the reader, I decided to change some components to the website which will make the site a lot better.
The updates documented below are active as soon as you read this.
Update #1: Table of Contents
I have added a floating Table of Contents block left of the blog post page which shows live where you are on the page exactly. This only shows H1 and H2 headings to make it as clear as possible:

The active section is highlighted in my beautiful light-blue color (#8eafda) and the block contains a shadow effect to make it stand out against the blog post.
This way I want to make it the reader of the blog post a lot easier to follow guides and be able to refer to some sections without losing track of the page.
Update #2: Parallax Homepage
Before the update, the homepage was very static and boring. However, I added a parallax effect to the header photo to make it more fun to visit my website:
This does not enhance anything, but is only cosmetic. Haha.
Update #3: New end-of-post block
The block below will now show on every blog post page to further clarify that you have reached the end of the page. I also added a button to easily go back to the previous page and the categories that exists on the page.

Something that is also changed is the terms and conditions which are somewhat more visible, because hey, we want to be open and transparent and I added clearly what the blue number is at the bottom. This is the page visitors counter, which starts counting visitors as a page is published.
Update #4: Blog post header
I have changed the header of every blog post to the picture of the post itself. This gives a new and refreshing look:

Another example:

I think this really helps in user experience, as not every page will be similar anymore but have their own unique style. It can also help by further clarifying the subject of the page.
Summary
As the focus of this webpage is; busy everyday to learn new things myself. I also hope these updates further help by helping the internet out with some things, and not having to invent the wheel themselves.
Thank you for reading and have a nice weekend.
